A special order has been issued by the Union Transport Ministry. The DL will be valid even if it expires by the end of September. Police can't rip anyone's memo

To curb the spread of the corona virus, the central government announced last week that things like driving licenses, vehicle registration certificates and fitness certificates have now been renewed till September 30.

The Union Transport Ministry has also ordered every enforcement agency to take it. It will be valid even if all these documents have expired. It is important to note that this order is not for documents attached to vehicles.
