Gujarat govt announces Rs 546 crore package for farmers

In the cabinet meeting of the Gujarat government, big decisions have been taken today, the biggest of which is the order given to help the farmers and the road. 

The state government today announced a package of Rs 546 crore for the farmers of Gujarat.  According to the government, the package will benefit 2.82 lakh farmers.

Cabinet Minister Jitu Waghan said that farmers in seven to eight districts, including Saurashtra, were badly affected by the rains and aid was announced after a survey.  Jeetu Waghan said that this help has been announced so that the farmers can stand up again against the difficulties that befall them when nature is bad.

Recruitments have been announced at present and will be announced in phases in the near future.

This power has now been handed over to the Panchayat Selection Board after the state government took over the power of recruitment of class-4 from 6 district panchayats of the state. The new state government has given priority to recruitment in the panchayat department and has also included it in the 100-day action plan after widespread complaints that work in the panchayat departments was deteriorating due to lack of staff.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has ordered to complete the repair work in every village and city of Gujarat before Diwali.  So that there is no problem in transportation and accidents stop happening.
